Here is my message to my subscribers, colleagues and ascending dealmakers. My goal is to condense the process of buying a business down to bite sized chunks and help you along the way. Some of you have “street creds” and have been trying to buy a business for too long. There were times when my back was up against the wall and I had to take action or go back to working for someone else. Desperate times are the times when you learn the most – and when you pick your self up, take the leap and meet the challenges. I have been there and done that, probably more times than I care to admit.
I am just one person: a banker, owner,
partner, founder, manager, CEO and investor.
I joined small private equity firms before there was such a thing as private equity. I have done leveraged buyouts before and after they were in style and before and after they were called leveraged buyouts. I have sourced, structured and financed numerous acquisitions of small and middle market companies for myself and the people around me. I have been around the block. I got into this game by thinking big – even though I was rather small. I learned that even the most underfunded of buyers can succeed in buying sizable companies and turning a dismal financial situation into a gold mine. Turning it all around and making money on a dime. That is what it’s all about. This what I am sharing today. Roscoe
